How Do I View an Event?
Viewing a Livestream event takes place any of the following ways:
A desktop browser
The Livestream event pages work on most major browsers on Windows and Mac OS X systems. We recommend using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari when viewing Livestream from your computer.
It’s best to update your browser whenever possible. Please make sure to enable cookies and turn off pop-up blocker when viewing events on Livestream.
If you are having trouble viewing a live event on Livestream, it's possible the producer is sending the stream at a bitrate higher than your connection can handle. Check your download speed at http://www.speedtest.net/. We also recommend clearing your browser’s cache, and ensuring Flash and Java are up to date.
A mobile browser
Live video streamed to Livestream is automatically accessible on iOS and Android mobile devices.
Open the browser on your mobile device. You can either type in livestream.comand use the search tool to find an event you are looking for, or type in the full URL of the event you are looking for if you know it.
When you arrive to the event page, click the play button on the player in the browser to open the live player.
The free Livestream mobile app
Any public event on Livestream can be viewed via the Livestream mobile app, which is available for free for iOS and Android devices. You can download them from the App Store or Google Play.
You will need to log in to a Livestream account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free directly from the app. Enter your name, email address and create a password. You will be able to access your account immediately.
Once you are logged in, you can follow accounts, search for accounts and events, and produce your own live events. Click here to learn more about watching events via the Livestream mobile app.
Chromecast
If you own a Chromecast, you can use it in conjunction with Google Chrome on your computer or the Livestream mobile app to watch Livestream events on your TV.
When you open a Livestream event, the Chromecast icon will appear on the player. Select it to start casting that event to your TV
The free Livestream Roku channel
If you own a Roku device, you can add the Livestream channel to your library for free.
When you open the Livestream channel, you can select from any of the events featured on Livestream, or scroll down to the bottom to search for a specific account or event. No need to log into an account.
